RCE 10.3.0

We are happy to announce the recent release of RCE 10.3.0 (Green Monkey). Besides a number of bugfixes and minor improvements, this release includes a completely reworked workflow palette, the ability to automatically generate network configuration snippets, improvements in Tool Integration and a rework of the System Monitoring feature.

Please see GitHub for the full changelog.

If you are using RCE 10.x you can update your installation using "Help -> Check for Updates". Otherwise, please find the downloadable artifacts on our download page.

New Palette View

RCE's new Palette View enables workflow components to be grouped into user-defined groups and sub-groups. Any workflow component can be moved into any user-defined group or reset to its default group. Moreover, the F1 component help and additional information on the component can be accessed directly from the palette. It is also possible to filter the palette by components.

Please note that in order to properly show the new palette, the RCE perspective layout will be reset once after the first start of the new version.

Network Configuration Snippets

In the RCE network view, the new feature "Show configuration snippet" displays an automatically generated configuration block of a GUI-configured network connection. This snippet can be copied directly into the configuration file of RCE to persist this network configuration.

Tool Integration

To provide the workflow designer with further information on the configurable tool properties of an integrated tool, a "Comment" column has been added to the configuration page of the tool properties. These comments are then displayed in the component's properties view. Furthermore, an "Export Documentation" button was added to this view.

System Monitoring

RCE's "System Monitoring" feature that allows for monitoring CPU and RAM usage information of (local or remote) RCE instances was completely reworked with regard to significant performance improvements and bug fixes.

Security

We upgraded several third-party libraries as listed in the full changelog.
