RCE 10.6.0 (Green Monkey) has been released. In this release, the underlying Eclipse platform has been upgraded and the build and QA infrastructure has been revised. Furthermore, this release includes usability improvements, technical changes, several third-party library upgrades and a number of bug fixes.
This page provides a compact summary of the changes. The full technical changelog can be found on the GitHub release page.
Please note two important aspects regarding this release:
- Updating from older RCE versions is not possible using the “Check for updates” function in RCE. To update, please download and install RCE again. Upgrading .dep or .rpm packages is not affected and should work as usual.
- RCE 10.6.0 fixes an important security issue in a network library. This makes upgrading mandatory for all users.
